How it works
The Wedge Co-ops are owned and governed by people invested in building community through food. By becoming a co-op member, you’re directly investing in your local food system.
Everyone is welcome to become a co-op member at The Wedge.
CAP: The Co-Op Affordability Project
We believe everyone deserves access to healthy, high-quality foods that support a sustainable future for our planet. Our Co-Op Affordability Project (CAP) reduces the costs to healthy eating and provides practical solutions. Wedge Community Co-op owners enrolled in WIC, SNAP, SSDI/SSI, Section 8 Housing, Refugee Cash Assistance, Medical Assistance (Medicaid), or Minnesota Care are eligible to receive a 10% everyday discount through CAP. Visit either store’s Customer Service Desk with proof of qualifying benefits to sign up for $10! The remaining $70 of stock will be accrued over time through patronage refunds. Patronage refunds are given in profitable years, and when voted on by the Board. CAP owners are not eligible to receive patronage refunds until their $80 stock is paid in full.
