2014 Wedgeshare Grants Available
Call for Applications

The Wedge is soliciting grant applications from organizations that work for sustainable development through environment, health, wellness, food agriculture, or cooperative-related activities. If you work for or know of any organizations that fit one or more of these criteria, we encourage you to let them know that the 2014 WedgeShare application cycle has begun.

Each year, The Wedge makes grants to select organizations working for a sustainable future. Organizations that wish to apply for a 2014 WedgeShare grant may review the guidelines posted on our website at tccp.coop/community/wedgeshare.

All information necessary to apply is included. All applications must be received by Friday, April, 25, 2014. Late applications will not be accepted. There will be a maximum award of $10,000 for any one organization. All inquiries should be directed via email to bodadmin@wedge.coop. Wedge staff members do not have information except as noted at the Customer Service desk.

Additionally, the WedgeShare Committee would like help reviewing and screening the grant applications it receives in order to recommend a slate of WedgeShare candidates to the board of directors. The committee also recommends grant award allocations based on member voting in the October 2014 annual election. If you have experience evaluating grant applications, please send your qualifications to bodadmin@wedge.coop by March 31, 2014

Wedge 2013 Election Results

With 958 ballots cast, 2013 was a record turnout election for The Wedge. Filling the three open positions on the board are Marjorie Hegstrom, Dale Wiehoff and Philip Bradley, who were each reelected for three-year terms.

The winning candidates were announced at the 39th Annual Wedge Membership Meeting held at the Lake Calhoun Event Center on Oct. 23, 2013. Nearly 400 individuals, including many of our staff members from Co-op Partners Warehouse and Gardens of Eagan were in attendance. The board thanks all the outstanding candidates for their willingness to stand in this election.
